ACTOR
With roots spanning the artistic hub of Amsterdam, the rugged heritage of Sardegna, and a career now anchored in Japan, Angelino brings a truly global perspective to the screen, stage and through the microphone.

He is an Australian citizen who blends this deep European lineage with a refined, international presence-most recently seen in The Negotiator: Mohammed Bin Rashid (2025). Whether portraying the gravitas of Father Radovan in Hidden Light or Chada in the iconic anime world of NieA under 7, his work is defined by a sophisticated, cross-cultural range suited for high-stakes drama and modern noir.
An international bilingual (English/Japanese) master of craft with a forty-year career spanning Australia, Europe, and Asia, he specialises in high-status character roles and psychologically complex archetypes.
Angelino’s trajectory began at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) under the mentorship of founding Head of Theatre, Nigel Rideout.
His “Global Pedigree” is defined by a formative residency in London, where he underwent intensive professional development at The Actors Centre (Chenies Street). This period included foundational Stanislavsky training under the legendary Doreen Cannon, psychological character development with Sam Kogan, and high-level vocal and text mastery with the “Elite Trinity” of British voice: Cicely Berry (RSC), Patsy Rodenburg (National Theatre), and Mary Hammond (Musical Theatre).
His expertise is underpinned by a Master of Communications (ECU) and advanced conservatory studies (WAAPA) in Shakespeare and Voice under Julia Moody, masterclasses with the renowned Kristin Linklater, contemporary acting development with master director Jean-Pierre Mignon, and intensive private vocal tuition with Liz Pascoe. This unique blend of academic rigour and veteran stagecraft delivers a seasoned, command-level presence across stage, screen, and broadcast.
A Permanent Resident of Japan with a valid Australian passport, Angelino is a globally available asset for international productions.
This year, he is undergoing a dedicated vocal and technical retraining period in preparation for a return to the stage. This period of artistic refinement follows a successful recovery from a kidney transplant—a journey of health and resilience that has profoundly deepened his perspective as a performer. This return to craft coincides with his work as Editor and Narrator for his “Slow Media” project, The Fushigi Times podcast, dedicated to focused, editorial storytelling.

Performance Archetypes & Development
Currently developing “All The World’s A Stage,” a cinematic song cycle exploring iconic dramatic archetypes through a series of short films and concert presentations. Key roles include the biblical Saul: Who Would Be King—an unlikely leader destroyed by jealousy and madness, and The Gaijin Samurai—the story of William Adams, a shipwrecked pilot who becomes Anjin Miura, the Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu’s trusted Hatamoto. This project sits alongside a repertoire of definitive leads, including Javert (Les Misérables), The Beast (Beauty & the Beast), and The Phantom (The Phantom of the Opera).

Beyond the stage, he is leading the development of The Gaijin Samurai, a cinematic Japanese period drama. Based on the historical true story of William Adams, this emotional odyssey of survival and redemption follows a shipwrecked English pilot whose unexpected alliance with the powerful Shōgun (Tokugawa Ieyasu) forces him to master a foreign code of honour to survive the treacherous political landscape of 1600s Japan.
